About a year ago, the Darryl Tookes Band was formed. Darryl assembled some great musicians, wrote some amazing songs, and recorded a ground breaking new album. Their CD, Journey To The Hieros Gamos was produced for William Heaton Records – an independent label. It’s the kind of ‘art house’ production that simply could not have been created or developed by a big multinational corporation. Like all truly great original music, Journey To The Hieros Gamos defies category, and defines a new direction. WHR is a small boutique company, dedicated to presenting only the very best music. Music that will have a positive effect, and make a difference in the world. We are reaching out to music fans worldwide who are interested in becoming Messengers for the Darryl Tookes Band.

What exactly is the Darryl Tookes Band Street Team?

The Darryl Tookes Band Street Team is a group of proactive music fans from all walks of life, who share one important primary philosophy in common. The powerful idea that music appreciators should be entitled to a choice of what they want to hear. Street Team Members are enthusiastic about sharing their discoveries with friends and communities, bringing new music to the forefront. Team Members – our Messengers – are from many different countries all over the world, all working together to promote the Darryl Tookes Band in their local areas. Primarily, Team Members will play a major role in helping to create awareness of our new CD, at radio, retail and live concert appearances.

How are teams formed and how do they work?

Teams are built through application forms which are only available on this site. Applicants are added to our database and when teams are activated, approved members will be notified by email. We will then supply teams with materials (which could include stickers, leaflets, posters, CDs, promotional items, vouchers, tickets, competition prizes, etc…). Each Team Member will be asked to complete simple tasks with these materials and submit a simple online report form prior to a deadline. Communication within the teams occurs by group discussions in the Forums and through updates posted in the relevant News sections.

Share the Journey

In addition to the satisfaction that you will get from promoting The Darryl Tookes Band, you will receive many cool perks and exclusive special offers. Things like pre-release copies of new records, free merchandise, gig tickets and promo items for completing your assigned tasks. You will also have access to autographs and Band memorabilia. There will on occasion be competitions and opportunities to meet Darryl and the Band. Imagine the potential rewards and job possibilities for the most committed team members. How do I join and what is expected of me?

For more information, visit our Team Rules to read the instructions on joining the Darryl Tookes Band’s Street Team. Being one of our members, you will have the opportunity for participation at the grass roots level in promoting the Darryl Tookes Band. Tasks will involve attending strategic gigs, promotional events, etc, and handing out Band paraphernalia. Having fun really… Initially this may sound like a party atmosphere, and it is just that! Watching the Band’s popularity grow while having a great time enjoying the hang and vibe of their cool new CD.
